Midlands-based housing organisation Housing Plus has appointed
Golley Slater Public Relations in Birmingham to handle its national
media and stakeholder relations.
The appointment follows a corporate re-branding for Housing
Plus, previously Central Borders Housing Group, which incorporates
South Staffordshire Housing Association (SSHA) and Property
Care.
Golley Slater secured the account after a competitive five-way
pitch. In addition to raising its profile amongst
stakeholders, the agency is handling regional, national and trade
media relations, working closely with Housing Plus' internal
communications team.
Debbie Griffiths, CEO of Housing Plus, said:
"Communication is a very important area for us, and we are
committed to increasing the understanding about the Group's purpose
and vision amongst our customers and key stakeholders. Finding the
right partner to develop and deliver our communications strategy is
paramount and Golley Slater showed that they have the right blend
of expertise and experience to help take things to the next
level."
Tim Gearey, managing director of Golley Slater Birmingham, said:
"We have strong roots within the housing and property
development sectors and we were able to demonstrate a good
understanding of the issues facing Housing Plus. However, our
remit is to broaden the media landscape, looking to take the brand
into new areas other than traditional housing and really ramp up
the communications and awareness. This is an exciting time to
be working with the team at Housing Plus and we're delighted to add
the organisation to our growing client portfolio and end the year
on a real high."
