Fenns, which supplies everything for the office from paperclips
to complete office solutions and single source office supplies has
now moved from its Duke Street office base in Stoke-on-Trent where
it has been situated since the late 1800's to new offices at
Riverside Park on Campbell Road, Stoke-on-Trent.
The relocation comes as a result of the company's phenomenal
growth over the past few years, which has seen the workforce
increase to now employing 50 people. This has also seen turnover
expand to £10m with a big increase in the number of clients,
including local companies such as Phones 4U, Knights solicitors
llp, JCB and Aspire Housing.
The company, which began life 135 years ago in 1875, has grown
to become one of the UK's largest independent office products
suppliers in the UK. Switching its expanding operation to new,
state-of-the-art offices and larger warehousing facilities means
the company can now progress with its positive business plans for
further growth and development.
Managing Director Phil Harris comments: "The relocation of our
operation to Riverside Park is the culmination of an exciting few
years for us. Fenns continues to go from strength to strength and
the move is down to many factors but increasingly we have been
winning a large amount of business both from within our
Staffordshire base and on a national level. Quite simply, we've
outgrown our existing premises and this move is an exciting new
progressive development for us.
The diversity of our services is a real strength for Fenns in
the current business climate and our new office base will enable us
to provide even higher levels of service excellence for our
customers and also gives us room for even further expansion with
increases in staff levels. This move is the latest in the ongoing
re-shaping of our business. We have already invested significantly
in state of the art 'cutting edge, computer technology which is
customer focused and made improvements to our business in terms of
the products and services we provide. For example many of our
customers are very much environmentally conscious therefore we have
launched a 'Green Catalogue' which offers a wide range of
sustainable office products including furniture.
JG Fenn prides itself on quality of service and speed of
delivery, and covers a nationwide area with free next day delivery
available on over 21,000 products as well as a two hour same day
delivery service for urgent items."
The company now occupies 4200 sq ft of modern office space and
5300 sq ft of warehouse space.
