CBVC accelerates past 1,500 vehicles managed on its Fleetwave system

CBVC has announced that it now has over 1,500 vehicles using its innovative fleet management solution for SMEs, which is based on FleetWave software from Chevin Fleet Solutions.

CBVC is harnessing the full power of FleetWave to allow companies with anything from 2 to 250 cars better manage their vehicle fleets, as well as any other assets they may want to keep a close eye on.

The CBVC service brings huge benefits to many businesses, made possible by the fantastic versatility of the FleetWave platform, as CBVC director Michael Manners explains: "Our product is specifically aimed at companies who have sufficient vehicles to create a headache, yet cannot justify the cost of a full time Fleet Manager. It's amazing how many times we speak to a company where the vehicle fleet is managed by the MD's secretary - it's just a natural consequence of a business growing organically. The secretary is usually doing a decent job, but we provide a professional Fleet Manager on a part time basis, and back them up with state of the art technology from Chevin".

"The Chevin system is totally scalable and allows us to manage the fleets of multiple users with multiple cost centres. Clients have internet access to their data 24/7. It also lets us filter out non-critical data and set controls to give our clients access to the parts of the system most relevant to them."

On a 150 vehicle fleet, CBVC can show instant savings in excess of 50% of the £40-£60k pa required to employ and equip a Fleet Manager. CBVC also adds continuing value by constantly updating its fleet management training and software programmes to keep up with the latest developments in legislation and best practice. This usually comes at no extra cost to the client.

"Our Fleet team assist clients' management in taking highly complex decisions by accurately interpreting the data from FleetWave", added Manners. "Without this advantage, decisions are often taken using partial information. The Deritend Group from Wolverhampton, for instance, saved £70k in the first year and bought their fleet under much closer control."

CBVC has now worked closely with Chevin for over 7 years, and both businesses see the relationship as very much a two-way process. CBVC's feedback "from the shop floor" having actively assisted in the evolution of FleetWave.
