From Blue Peter to Wish You Were Here, Anthea Turner has enjoyed
a 15 year career in the media spotlight and will again take centre
stage at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (BCI) annual 'Women
Who…' luncheon on January 29.
As guest speaker, Anthea will entertain ladies who lunch with
her enviable career experiences. Her portfolio has taken her from
BBC local radio presenting road traffic reports in her native Stoke
to become one of the best known faces of broadcasting in the
UK.
Her earlier appearances include Blue Peter, Children's Royal
Variety Performance, GMTV with Eamonn Holmes and BBC 1's National
Lottery Live programme. As a result Anthea was awarded a number of
accolades including 'Showbusiness Personality of the Year' and 'BBC
Personality of the Year'.
Anthea went on to host the popular travel series Wish You Were
Here and also took part in one of the most-talked about shows when
she appeared in Celebrity Big Brother along with other well known
faces.
More recently Anthea has presented the 'Perfect Housewife' on
BBC3 and appeared on ITV's Hell Kitchen.
