Beer lovers raised three cheers as Titanic Brewery saw out 2009
in style.
The Stoke-on-Trent brewery won a hat trick of awards at the
CAMRA West Midlands 2009 awards ceremony.
Titanic were awarded two Gold medals and a Silver by the
Campaign for Real Ale judges at the end of year ceremony.
The Burslem brewers struck Gold in the Speciality Ale category,
for Titanic Iceberg, and in the Stout category, for Titanic Stout.
While Wreckage took Silver in the Strong Old Ale section.
The CAMRA awards, presented at the Barton Arms, Birmingham, cap
a successful 2009 for Titanic.
Titanic Stout took the prestigious best beer in a bottle award
at the 2009 Great British Beer Festival and the brewery won
recognition for its work to provide a special range of ales for
Morrisons at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Business
Awards.
And the West Midlands CAMRA success will see the three Titanic
Ales competing for national awards at the 2010 CAMRA Great British
Beer Festival.
Titanic Managing Director, Keith Bott, said: "We are delighted
that our beers have again been chosen to represent the Midlands at
the national championships.
"The success is down to the hard work of our small but dedicated
team of staff and was a great late Christmas present for all of us
at the brewery."
