application that's 'as easy as cake'
Birmingham-based digital media agency, Gas Street Works, is
launching its self-developed file-sharing application, ReviewSpace,
to the creative sector later this month.
Gas Street Works' iMedia team have developed the application
over the past 12 months, creating a product that allows users to
collaborate on digital, cross platform projects - enabling agencies
and clients to share large media files including, images, sound and
video files regardless of their individual software
capabilities.
Initially designed to overcome issues with the sending and
opening of large files by clients with limited IT infrastructure,
ReviewSpace also enables both the creator and client to comment on
projects as they develop - with amendments, timeline comments and
approvals stored in project discussion threads that can be accessed
at any time, by anyone involved.
Crucially, ReviewSpace enters the market with a lower price
point than its competitors, while still offering a high level of
functionality with on-the-fly video encoding and scalable hosting
and streaming.
Justin Sawkins, Head of iMedia at Gas Street Works, said:
"Ultimately, ReviewSpace has been developed by us - the end user.
When we realised that sharing files of different formats across
different software didn't have to be as problematic as it was. The
creative sector simply needed a platform such as ReviewSpace to
bridge the gap between software providers."
Gas Street Works, founded in 2000 by Stuart Udale and Michael
Kretzmer, specialises in providing a fully integrated media service
including video production, hosting, streaming and online campaign
consolidation and most recently web and mobile software
applications. Their clients span the public and private sector and
include Wolseley Group, NHS and CMC Markets.
Justin added: "We genuinely believe that ReviewSpace offers an
affordable solution to issues encountered by every agency working
within this sector. Our objective was to create a product that
would be, "a piece of cake" to use and feedback from our clients
and colleagues suggests that we have done just this."
