Williams de Broë Ltd, a leading firm of investment managers
and wholly owned subsidiary of the Evolution Group plc, has
acquired approximately 5,200 sq ft on part second floor at Colmore
Plaza in Birmingham.
The firm of stockbrokers is moving due to a lease break at its
existing premises and has taken advantage of favourable market
conditions by upgrading to a new build within the same locality.
The move also facilitates future expansion plans by offering more
than an additional 1,000 sq ft than previously occupied.
Williams de Broë has taken a 10 year lease in a deal
negotiated through the Birmingham office of national commercial
property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).
Commenting on the move, Adrian Quin, Head of the Birmingham
office at Williams de Broë, said: "All 42 of our Birmingham
staff will be moving to Colmore Plaza. The fit out works will start
in February and it is hoped that the move will be completed at the
beginning of May 2010.
"There will be workstations for 52 staff on the second floor of
Colmore Plaza. This can be expanded to 62 plus additional meeting
and conference rooms. A substantial IT upgrade is also being
undertaken.
"The 14 Investment Directors at Williams de Broë manage in
excess of £1.1bn of bespoke investment mandates for private
clients and their associated trusts, pension funds, charities,
tax-efficient portfolios and private funds while also working
extensively with the Birmingham professional community."
Amy Haywood of LSH's Birmingham office added: "Colmore Plaza
presented an excellent opportunity for our client to acquire high
quality new build office accommodation in a great location in the
business centre of Birmingham."
