Solicitors
Cannock and Lichfield law firm, Ansons Solicitors is celebrating
its senior partner's 30th anniversary of being a qualified legal
professional.
Simon James commenced his career with Haden & Stretton
Solicitors in 1977 as an articled clerk spending his first year in
Walsall before moving to the firm's Lichfield office in 1978 where
he has remained ever since.
Mr James qualified in 1979 as a solicitor and began specialising
in commercial property and agriculture in the mid 1980s.
Remarkably Mr James was promoted to partner just a year after he
qualified clearly demonstrating his hard work and commitment and
subsequently progressed to be managing partner and then senior
partner of the firm which was by then known as Hadens
Solicitors.
More recently in 2004, Mr James became one of the founding
partners at Ansons Solicitors which was formed as a result of a
de-merger from Hadens Solicitors. Today, and in addition to being
senior partner of Ansons Solicitors, Mr James heads the firm's
commercial property and agricultural law departments from its
offices in Lichfield.
Mr James is an active member of the Staffordshire community,
including being deputy chairman of St Giles Hospice, a director of
Lichfield Festival and a member of the Rotary Club of
Lichfield.
Mr James commented: "The last 30 years have been truly enjoyable
and along side the hard work and seriousness of being in the legal
profession I have had some great laughs and experiences meeting
many exceptional and interesting people along the way".
When asked about future aspirations Mr James concluded: "The
commercial property market is showing some signs of recovery with
developers becoming more active and some of our clients starting
new sites or looking to acquire land for development in due course.
Equally some of our investor clients are acquiring or looking to
acquire. Despite these optimistic signs the market remains tough,
however I will continue to keep focussed on growing Ansons
Solicitors' commercial property department by strengthening
relationships with property professionals over the years to
come".
