UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is giving East Midlands
businesses the opportunity to understand what doing business in
Russia is like thanks to an event they are hosting at Imago
Holywell Park Conference Centre at Loughborough University, named
'Russia Day.'
The event which takes place on 27 January between 09:30 - 16:00
brings together a wealth of experience from experts who run
successful businesses in Russia and professionals who have an
in-depth knowledge of what's happening in the Russian world of
business.
Delegates who attend Russia Day can expect a full itinerary
packed with information on what is really happening in Russia,
including details of how in spite of the global economic crisis,
Russia's economy is expected to remain in a strong position and
continues to offer great potential for British businesses.
Russia Day will also provide insight into the opportunities
arising from the 2014 Winter Olympic Games and give delegates the
chance to participate in Russian language taster sessions.
Tim Jelley, International Trade Advisor at UKTI East Midlands
said: "Russia Day will be packed full of activity which will
give East Midlands businesses the low down on Russian culture,
business trends and opportunities.
"Russia is the tenth biggest economy in the world and fast
becoming a major competitor with the economies of China and India.
The demands for UK goods and services extends across many sectors,
including transport, automotive & engineering, energy, oil
& gas, pharmaceutical, media and education.
"Russia Day really is an event not to be missed by any East
Midlands business that wants to enter the Russian market."
