Lincoln students can now win a year's free rent thanks to a prize draw being run by Lighthouse Property Services.

All students who sign tenancy agreements with the University of Lincoln-approved letting agent from Monday (11th January) until the end of March will be entered into a draw to win an entire year of rent-free living from September.

The offer has been launched to coincide with the university's busy student lettings week (11th to 15th January) where current and prospective students look to secure accommodation for the next academic year.

In addition to the attractive first prize, a £1,000 rent discount and a £100 Morrisons voucher are also up for grabs.

This is the second time the property management firm has run the offer - last year International Relations student Gregory Hodson (23) won the top prize. He saved over £2,000 by having all his rent paid by Lighthouse.

Ian Thornton, Lighthouse Student Lettings Manager, said: "The prize draw proved very popular last year and is now a key part of our marketing strategy, helping to attract tenants as part of our ongoing student lettings campaign.

"In 2009 we broke all previous records by letting 98% of the student properties on our books and we are confident that this year will be just as buoyant.

"We're concentrating on marketing our properties effectively and ensuring that students know what we have to offer, enabling them to make an informed choice about accommodation for 2010/2011."

To date Lighthouse has successfully housed over 7,000 students, offering a range of impressive all-inclusive rental packages starting at just £59 per week.

Properties available include everything from renovated terrace houses to modern luxury apartments and are all located in the city centre close to university campuses. Many also come fully furnished, have wireless internet access and cater for individuals or groups of up to 12 people.
