Nottingham Company Doing A Deal Down Under with LapCabby

A family-owned business in Nottingham has secured a major contract with one of Australia 's largest IT distributors to supply its innovative laptop storage and charging system to schools across the country.

Monarch Education's agreement comes just weeks after the firm struck a deal with global computer giant Dell to have LapCabby included as part of the company's Connected Classroom initiative in China.

Under the latest deal, LapCabby will be provided to schools Down Under through DH Technology, the largest Australian-owned wholesale distributor of technology products.

DH Technology selected LapCabby over competitors because the product is as feature-rich and robust as those costing up to three times as much.

LapCabby helps schools to properly manage the security, charging and cabling of their laptop computers and it is already being used in more than 8,000 classrooms throughout the UK .

Andy Harrhy, managing director of Monarch Education Furniture said: "To be taking LapCabby into Australia so soon after our deal with Dell in China is encouraging and shows the increasing overseas demand for our high quality, cost effective products.

"We are confident that this order will help the company expand further over the next few years and, as an Australian myself, I am delighted that this product is being made available to classrooms back home."

Stephen Joyce, national sales manager at DH Technology, said: " We first came across the product at a trade show in London and knew straight away that it would hugely appeal to resellers in Australia .

"We were particularly struck by the price of LapCabby. It is as feature-rich, robust and secure as products costing two to three times as much.

"With more and more schools now replacing their old ICT equipment for laptops, I believe that the product will be extremely popular in classrooms throughout the country."

LapCabby provides a cost-effective solution to the safe and efficient management of laptops in the classroom, housing between ten and 40 computers.

Its contemporary external design includes striking ergonomic handles and rubber corner bumpers that protect the unit, the classroom and the laptops.

Other innovative features include a Green power management system, an effective dual point locking system and keys that operate from the top of the unit to prevent them snapping when the device is bumped into walls.

LapCabby's excellent cable management and power system is housed in a separate compartment to keep it well away from children, providing a level of safety beyond that of other products in the market.
