Law firm Weightmans has named 6 new partners and 14 associates
in its annual round of promotions - bringing its partner total to
103 and the number of associates to 114.
The firm's new partners are: Deborah Bannister (Healthcare -
Birmingham), Rebecca Blythe (Large Loss - Liverpool), Sean Crotty
(Intellectual Property - Liverpool), Andy Griffiths (Local
Government - Birmingham), Clare Malpus (Large Loss - Leicester) and
Paul McFarlane (Employment - London).
Weightmans' managing partner Patrick Gaul congratulated the
candidates, saying:
"These promotions are well deserved; it is due to the hard work
and sustained efforts of them and their colleagues that we remain
on target to secure our best ever financial result."
The firm's new associates are: Kate Adam (Employment -
Liverpool), Nilesh Bathia (Healthcare - London), Clare Cheetham
(Large Loss - Liverpool), Ian Critchley (Healthcare - Liverpool),
Russell Daw (Disease - Birmingham), Katie Gemmell (Large Loss -
Manchester), James Hough (Healthcare - Liverpool), Kellie Lacey
(Transport - Manchester), Dipak Lad (Transport - Manchester),
Adrian Le Monnier (Local Government - Birmingham), Asema Natha
(Local Government - Leicester), Georgina Porter (Employment -
Birmingham), Jawaid Rehman (Employment - Birmingham) and Lisa
Wilkes (Large Loss - Liverpool).
The promotions follow a string of employment accolades garnered
by the firm in 2009 including an impressive 3rd place in the Legal
Week Employee Satisfaction Survey and a 7th place for diversity
among Top 100 law firms in the 2009 Diversity League Table compiled
by the Black Solicitors Network.
