Midlands -based Frontline Recruitment is celebrating its tenth
year of trading, and in spite of the economic doom and gloom,
reports an increase in sales in 2009.
Tony Wilmot and Elliott Kidd began trading as Frontline
Recruitment in September 2000 from a small office in Mansfield,
with only a phone book and a telephone to their name. Since then,
the company has gone from strength to strength and now has offices
across the region in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester as well as
Bradford, and employs 40 staff.
The company now has 500+ clients on its books and places 1000
staff members a day on average and is continuing to grow. The
company's client base has risen significantly since the beginning
of 2009 and on a month by month basis has seen a significant
increase in sales.
Tony Wilmot, said: "It is quite unbelievable that we are now in
our tenth year of trading. We opened our first office in Mansfield
with a predicted turnover of £900,000, but the business
quickly rocketed and over the next 15 months we generated a
turnover of £2.5million.
"In July 2001 we opened our Nottingham office, which is now our
HQ. This was followed by the Leicester office in November the same
year, we have since opened offices in Derby and Bradford. Things
have been pretty good for us ever since and even in the downturn we
are breaking the mould and continue to take on new clients on a
month by month basis. "
Frontline now provides both temporary and permanent recruitment
solutions to a variety of industries, including the public sector,
manufacturing and production, warehouse and distribution, domestic
services and packaging and is expanding its client range
continuously.
Elliott adds: "Since we started out in 2000, things have been
pretty good for us. Our early days were critical to our success and
really helped us to get ahead of the game. We hit the ground
running and started with no clients. Looking back I can't believe
we turned up on that first day with just desks, phones and
phonebooks to our names. We now hope to continue to build on our
success as the recession shows signs of coming to an end. "
