A partner at Lincolnshire chartered accountants Nicholsons will
be offering his expertise to professional photographers when he
speaks at a prestigious convention later this month.
Richard Hallsworth, a keen amateur photographer himself, will be
delivering a presentation on financial matters at the Society of
Wedding and Portrait Photographers' (SWPP) annual gathering in
London from 15 to 17 January.
Richard acts for a number of professional photographers across
the UK and is well-versed in the particular financial issues that
affect the business, including the costs of purchasing new
equipment, dealing with varying cashflow and minimising the amount
of tax paid.
He is one of the main writers on the
financeforphotographers.co.uk blog and produces a regular
newsletter for his clients in the photography industry.
He said: "I'm very fortunate to be able to combine my passion
for photography with my work and I know many professional
photographers feel the same way, but they may not necessarily be
financial experts, which is why it is important to get the right
advice.
"Photography is a business like any other, so it is important
that those working in it consider how they are going to maximise
their cash flow, minimise their costs and keep developing the firm
for the future."
The convention takes place from 15 to 17 January 2010 at the
Novotel London West hotel in Hammersmith.
