Independent ladies fashion boutique, Polly's is to expand its
business in Leicester city centre with the acquisition of a new
store in St Martins Square Shopping Centre.
The retailer, which began trading 32-years ago and has a second
boutique on Francis Street, is relocating from its existing store
in St Martins Square to a larger unit within the centre.
To enable the new lease to be granted, letting agents for the
scheme, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) negotiated the surrender of the
existing lease and agreed a new lease on the larger unit for a
five-year term.
St Martins Square, which is located within the Lanes area of the
City, comprises of 32 individual units, all of which are occupied
by an eclectic range of independent and regional retailers.
Tamsin Straiton at Polly's said: "St Martins Square is extremely
well suited to our needs and, as such, we felt the need to remain
within the centre.
"The new store is larger and more vibrant and will facilitate
the future growth of our business."
Tom Freer, Retail Agent at LSH's Leicester office, said: "This
was a complex transaction, which required a creative solution in
order to satisfy Polly's need for expansion within the
centre.
"St Martins Square provides a unique shopping experience and the
expansion of an existing occupier is a huge vote of confidence for
the centre and the other retailers."
