Independent financial advisors ASC Financial Management have
again teamed up with Arch North Staffordshire to host a fundraising
golf day.
The Newcastle-based company raised more than £3000 for the
homelessness and domestic violence charity with their last golf day
and auction, in June 2009.
Directors Gary Hanmer and Tony Castrey are hoping to double that
with this year's event, which takes place at Wychwood Park near
Crewe on May 20th. They are looking for individuals to enter, or
companies to enter teams of four.
The competition will be followed by a charity auction.
Tony Castrey said: "Last year's event, at the Izaak Walton Golf
Club in Stone, was very well supported by local companies including
Knight & Sons Solicitors and Reels in Motion.
"We want to double the size of the golf day this year, and that
means we are looking for between 15 and 20 teams of four to take
part.
"We will again be organising a free breakfast and ending the day
with a charity auction.
"There will also be a new car on offer for anyone who hits a
hole-in-one, although based on what we saw last year we don't think
there will be any danger of that happening!"
The golf day will tee-off at 12noon. The cost to enter a team of
four is £160, or £45 for an individual. This will
include breakfast and refreshments on arrival, and a three course
evening meal after the competition.
Anyone who wishes to enter should contact Tony or Gary on 01782
255024.
ASC has chosen Arch North Staffordshire as its charity of the
year for 2010, although they do help other charities including St
John Ambulance Staffordshire, by paying commissions for referred
business.
