has succeeded in letting the third floor of Norwich Union House in
South Parade in Nottingham city centre.
Leading Midlands criminal and business defence firm Cartwright
King, which already occupies the fourth and fifth floors, has
signed the lease for the third floor which means that the building
is fully occupied once again.
Cartwright King moved into Norwich Union House when the firm was
first established in 1999. They have continually expanded their
operations in Nottingham and now occupy some 10,000 ft within the
building. In addition they have opened offices in Leicester,
Derby, Sheffield and Birmingham and introduced additional services
including immigration, mental health, public law and professional
discipline.
Robert Maxey at Nottingham surveyors heb negotiated the letting
in conjunction with a renewal of Cartwright King's existing
lease.
Robert said: "It is particularly satisfying to be able to report
such a success story, especially in the current economic
climate.
"I handled the original letting to Cartwright King in 1999, and
it really is fantastic to see how they have grown and expanded in
the intervening years. The fact that Norwich Union House is
now completely occupied once again shows further signs of buoyancy
returning to the office lettings market - hopefully a trend that
will continue into the New Year."
Michael Thurston, managing director of Cartwright King said: "We
have continued to expand the practice despite the trend in our
profession and industry. Having started with just one suite in
Norwich Union House in the Market Square ten years ago, we are
delighted to have renewed our lease and also secure a fourth office
suite in this prestigious city centre office complex."
Owen Mathias of Mathias Perry Surveyors acted on behalf of
Cartwright King. He said: "It was pleasing to enter into
constructive discussions to agree lease restructuring arrangements
with Aviva Life and Pensions (UK) Limited and heb which enabled our
clients to meet their expansion requirements while maintaining
their established presence in the Market Square at Norwich Union
House where we originally acquired space when Cartwright King was
established."
