Derbyshire based company A M Bromley Ltd is achieving great
success in South America thanks to the help and support of UK Trade
& Investment (UKTI).
Located in Buxton, A M Bromley Ltd has developed an innovative
and extremely accurate remote tyre pressure and temperature
monitoring system which is recognised by the UK market as TMS.
A M Bromley has teamed with Chilean based systems integrator and
software company Aditiva, A M Bromley to develop a brand new
product called UMAN.
UMAN is now used by the Chilean company Bailac which provides
support services to the mining industry, as part of its full
on-site tyre maintenance and control service for the mining
industry in Chile and other South American countries.
The new product works by receiving data from battery powered
sensors that are fitted inside the tyre of each machine, enabling
Bailac to monitor both the pressure and temperature of every tyre
on all large off-road trucks.
A M Bromley's Tyre Management System helps improve fuel
efficiency, reduce wear and predict imminent problems, allowing
companies to schedule tyre maintenance and avoid losing access to a
machine because of unexpected problems which would significantly
affect a company's productivity.
Mandy Bromley, Sales Director at A M Bromley said: "We needed to
understand how our product was performing in the field and get a
clear picture of the market size and sales potential.
"Working with UKTI was fantastic. We used the Overseas Market
Introduction Service (OMIS) and received professional help and
advice from our Commercial Officer.
"We were given an overview of the Chilean market and business
culture and received help and support with translation and logistic
issues.
"Thanks to UKTI, I was able to get a clear picture of how our
product was performing for Bailac and agree some minor
modifications which will secure our product as the market leader
for tyre monitoring systems in this field.
"The market visit to Chile that was part funded by UKTI has
played a key factor in making our company growth become a reality.
It has also given us access to new markets in Brazil, Peru and
other South American markets."
