NatWest is to play a key supporting role in one of the largest
commercial property deals of the year.
The bank has announced that it is supporting the £1.5
million move of Higgs & Sons to prestigious new Westfield
offices on the Waterfront in Brierley Hill.
The move will create the largest legal office in the Black
Country, providing Higgs with 30,000 square feet of leading edge
facilities which will house the firm's 76 lawyers under one roof
and provide clients with one central hub for all services, meetings
and events.
Managing partner, Paul Hunt, said: "We have worked with NatWest
for a number of years and are extremely pleased to have them
support us on what is one of the biggest events in our 135 year
history."
Richard Dowen, relationship manager for NatWest said: "We are
delighted to help the firm fund this development.
"Higgs is an extremely strong firm and the move is a natural
progression as it seeks to grow the team even further. The
quality of this new building and the work going into it is of an
extremely high standard and we are supporting the firm in both the
relocation and the fit out.
"NatWest is committed to working with local quality businesses
and we are delighted to be associated with a thriving professional
firm like Higgs."
2009 was quite a year for Higgs, with the firm adding 14 new
lawyers to its team and four trainees. Paul Hunt said: "The move
will bring together a 170-strong team which is based across offices
in Brierley Hill and Stourbridge. We are delighted to be investing
both in our people and the region and it is great to still be based
in the heart of the Black Country .
"We will also be retaining a dedicated residential property and
private client team in Kingswinford to serve the local
community.
"2010 and beyond is looking extremely exciting for both the firm
and our clients and we can't wait to move in during February
2010."
