There was a real buzz in the air and a flavour of Sweden at
Notts County Football Club as the Winter Wonderland Christmas Fayre
was opened by Sven-Goran Eriksson and Hans Backe. Both took time
out of their busy schedules to support this wonderful bespoke
shopping experience which had been organised by Lavinia Pavis of
Sapphire Events.
There were 28 different exhibitors selling luxury gifts ranging
from cufflinks of distinction through to Christmas hampers,
including pampering from the Service Tree.
There was a raffle and auction on the evening to support the
Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal and an incredible £1004.85 was
raised. Kate Shaw, Ripple Appeal Fundraising Manager said, "I'm
incredibly grateful to Sapphire Events for giving Treetops Hospice
this opportunity to raise funds and for everyone who has kindly
donated gifts for the raffle and auction. It's a really
exciting period in our fundraising as building work has finally
started at the hospice and in just a few months we shall have a new
Day Care Centre which will enable us to provide some 5000 Day Care
places each year."
Lavinia Pavis from Sapphire Events said, "It was a fantastic and
successful night had by all! Thank you to everyone who was involved
and on behalf of Sapphire Events, it was an absolute pleasure
working with The Treetops Hospice, for such a worthwhile cause.
A big thanks to Kate Shaw for all her help and support
throughout and I look forward to working with The Treetops Hospice
in the future."
The Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal is raising funds for a new
Care Centre. The added space will double the capacity at the
Hospice. Treetops Hospice provides specialist palliative care to
