A Midland law firm has seen three talented young lawyers
graduate from the Louis Group's Business Academy.
Associate Louise Igoe along with solicitors Anna Steemson and
Kim Beddows, all staff at Lodders, completed a three-month
management programme.
Louis Group, a property and financial services concern whose
origins are South African, recently built its European headquarters
in Stratford-upon-Avon and Lodders, also based in the town, advised
on the major inward investment.
Louis Group has in excess of 500 staff globally, including South
Africa, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Isle of Man.
The Lodders trio were among 74 students from intakes in February
and September who graduated.
The course is run in partnership with Judge Business School at
Cambridge University. It takes in 12 evening classes and two full
day trips to Cambridge. Topics include finance, sales, marketing,
leadership and people management.
"The focus is on people with an entrepreneurial element to them,
and the Lodders staff excelled," said Michael Ansell, Academy
Dean.
David Lodder, senior partner of Lodders, added: "We were very
pleased that Louise, Anna and Kim made it all the way through to
graduation. This has greatly added to their business knowledge and
will stand them in good stead as their careers develop."
The academy offers practical suggestions on how to manage
business effectively, teaches owners how to survive in difficult
economic climates and how to take advantage of opportunities when
they present themselves.
The project was wholly sponsored by Louis Group.
