Browne Jacobson's Corporate team has advised long standing
Midlands client Staffline, the AIM listed provider of outsourced HR
services to industry, on its acquisition of Peter Rowley
Limited.
The acquisition is in line with Staffline's strategy of making
selective acquisitions to broaden its revenue streams, thereby
positioning it more as a provider of value added business services
in the human resource arena. The company has its head office in
Nottingham and branches in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and
Dudley.
Peter Rowley has 36 employees and, in the year ended 31 July
2009, had achieved revenues in excess of £2m per annum.
Andy Hogarth, Staffline's Chairman and Chief Executive,
said: "We are delighted to welcome Peter Rowley and his
company to the Group, bringing a highly complementary offering to
our existing operations. Together our two organisations will
provide a platform for further growth in our core operating
areas.
"We continue to look for similar acquisition opportunities, in
addition to other smaller industrial recruitment businesses in
order to enhance shareholder value."
Browne Jacobson Corporate Partner Richard Cox added: "This
is the third deal we have advised the company on this year having
earlier this year acted for the client on its purchase of
Yorkshire-based The Workplace and North West based La Gente
Recruitment. This latest bolt-on acquisition is an excellent fit
within the Staffline Group and will further strengthen its
competitive and financial position within the market."
