The clinical director of a cutting edge Shropshire dental
practice has been invited by leading implant company, Astra Tech
Dental, to become one of its Clinical Coaches.
Dr Thomas Norlin D.D.S., Odont. Lic, who took over as Clinical
Director of The Dental Spa on Oxon Business Park, Shrewsbury, in
September last year, is an experienced Implantologist who is also
widely known for his part in developing and patenting SB12, an
internationally marketed product that neutralises bad
breath.
Implantology is a modern alternative to dentures and bridges,
offering the comfort, convenience and appearance of natural teeth.
Dr Norlin completed his training as an Implantologist in 2000.He
then joined a practice which became a Centre of Excellence for
Implantology, focusing on the aesthetics of the procedure including
restorative prosthodontics and surgery, as well as general
dentistry.
Since relocating to the UK with his Family Dr Norlin practiced
in Surrey before joining the Dental Spa. A full member of the
British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, he carries out surgical
grafting procedures such as block grafts, sinus lifting and
apicectomies as well as implantology. Since coming to Shropshire
his expertise has gained him great respect from other professionals
in the area for whom he carries out specialist referral
work.
In addition to his clinical experience Dr Norlin has carried out
research work into protein processing at Rockerfeller University in
New York and at the Department of Neuroscience at the Karolinska
(Nobel) Institute in Stockholm where he lectured in the Department
of Physiology and Pharmacology. He has also been published in
several well known scientific journals.
