Administrators say they are hopeful of selling a Walsall
conservatories business which went into administration last
week.
Jonathan Newell and Ian Gould of PKF Accountants & business
advisers were appointed administrators of Easy Fit Roofs and
Conservatories and immediately set about trying to sell the
business.
On Monday, Jonathan Newell said: "The business is under offer
and negotiations are proceeding towards what we hope will be a sale
in the near future."
All 34 employees of Easy Fit were made redundant after the
administrators were appointed.
Easy Fit, based in West Bromwich Road, had a turnover of around
£6 million and once also had operations in Solihull and
Leamington Spa.
"The business has been affected by the economic downturn and a
lack of orders," said PKF partner Ian Gould.
"Losses are substantial and creditors are likely to face a
significant shortfall."
He has received one expression of interest from a potential
purchaser, but he would be keen to hear from others.
