A team from Nicholsons Chartered Accountants in Lincoln recently
paid a visit to the headquarters of the Lincolnshire and
Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance to hand over the money they raised
during a sponsored trek in aid of the charity during the
summer.
Senior partner Richard Grayson, together with fellow team
members Steph Danby, Charlotte Maynard and Mark Grayson, and Rod
Fry from local construction firm Clugston, took part in the 60-mile
Pennine Challenge in June, raising £858.85 in sponsorship
from family, friends and colleagues.
They were backed up by a support team of fellow Nicholsons
workers Jeannine Peta Thornley, John Raynor and Helen Grayson, who
ensured the team were fed, watered and had the right clothing and
equipment during the 24-hour challenge.
The money will help the air ambulance crews to continue their
lifesaving work in the two counties, which has seen them fly over
600 missions already this year.
Jeannine said: "The Pennine Challenge was a big challenge for
everyone who took part, but the whole team did really well to
complete it, and raise such a fantastic amount of money.
"We were delighted to be able to visit the Air Ambulance team in
person to hand over the proceeds, and we know this will help them
to continue with the hugely-important work they do."
