Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham is staging its annual Christmas
Fayre this week (Thursday 10th December) and one member of staff in
particular will be 'drumming up' interest in the event, which will
be raising funds for the Premature Baby Unit at the Queen's Medical
Centre.
Sales Executive Matt Brittain will be swapping his Glass's Guide
for drumsticks to perform a variety of festive tunes with his band
Supermojo, which will be providing a musical backdrop to the
seasonal extravaganza.
Drummer Matt and his Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham colleagues are
hoping that the event, which takes place between 6pm and 9pm and is
free to attend, will be well supported by local folk as proceeds
will go to a charity close to their hearts. A member of the NG2
Business Park retailer's team gave birth to her son weeks ahead of
his due date and, thanks to the Unit's care and expertise, ensured
that mother and baby are both now fit and well.
A fun-filled evening will see Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham's
showroom transformed into a winter wonderland, where visitors will
be served with complimentary mince pies and mulled wine and
children will be treated to chocolates being handed out by Santa
Claus. There will be some leisurely Christmas shopping to be
enjoyed too -jewellery, perfume, flowers and farm foods will be
among the gifts being sold by 25 local companies attending the
event, whilst a tarot card reader may reveal what lies ahead during
the forthcoming festive season and beyond.
"Our previous Christmas Fayres have been a great success and
this one looks like being the best yet," said Carole Merry,
Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham's General Manager. "There will be
something for everyone to enjoy on the evening, so we hope people
will pop in, get into the festive spirit and help us to raise as
much money as possible for the QMC's Premature Baby Unit."
