Lichfield based First Class Technologies has worked with Nether Stowe School to upgrade their ICT solutions.  The improvements have enhanced the use of new technologies  across the school helping to create a 21st Century learning environment.

Nether Stowe School is a specialist mathematics and computing college for 750 eleven to eighteen year old students.   With the strong emphasis on new technology to deliver courses at Nether Stowe, the school has a heavier reliance on ICT than most.

Steve Peace, Assistant Head at Nether Stowe School explains: "We recognised that in order to continue to meet the needs of our students and to ensure the effective running of the school, that we had to upgrade our ICT systems.  Our existing technologies had become dated resulting in insufficient levels of performance and downtime during lessons.  First Class Technologies were able to demonstrate extensive experience of successful implementations in a number of other schools.  We also liked the fact that they were local."

Richard Hinton, Managing Director of First Class Technologies explains: "First Class Technologies has extensive experience of implementing campus wide ICT solutions in schools.  We have introduced similar solutions for a number of schools in area including Sutton Coldfield based John Willmott School.  Based on these projects and taking into consideration Nether Stowe's specific requirements, we recommended a complete Microsoft based solution, new servers and improved anti virus software. "

Steve Peace continues: The school saw immediate benefits from the solution.  Performance of the workstations has increased dramatically as well as the stability of the network, this has freed up the ICT team considerably and increased the amount of time they can spend supporting students and helping to drive up  learning output.

Steve Peace concludes: "We have been incredibly impressed with First Class Technologies.  They have delivered a cost effective solution that perfectly fits our requirements.  The entire project ran smoothly, the team were informative and most importantly we have seen immediate benefit."
