Derbyshire based company Infomill has continued to forge
successful partnerships with US clients thanks to the help and
support of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
A technological company, Infomill publishes product support
guides and parts information on electronic mobile devices on
behalf of some of the biggest industrial names in the world to
improve their aftermarket productivity and drive down costs.
The company, which already boasts an impressive client portfolio
including names such as Toyota Industrial Equipment, Hitachi,
British Gas and npower is now extending its business
activities in the US following an extensive marketing strategy
review assisted by support obtained through UKTI.
Infomill's CEO Jonathan Ralphs was selected by UKTI to
participate on a Business Marketing Strategy course at the
world-leading Kellogg School of Management at North Western
University in Chicago.
The week long intensive marketing programme covered many
marketing techniques and strategies used by business in the rapidly
changing American corporate world.
Jonathan Ralphs from Infomill said: "The professors at Kellogg
were amazing; it was one of the most exciting and challenging weeks
I have ever had in my business life.
"The marketing programme confirmed some of the views I already
held in our innovative and pioneering work and challenged others.
My time at Kellogg, and the subsequent time I spent in the US
visiting partners and potential clients allowed me to take a step
back and look at my company afresh.
"I am a big fan of the Kellogg US Marketing programme and I have
endeavoured to put into practice everything I learnt. I have a lot
to thank UKTI and the course sponsors for."
Chris Johnson, International Trade Advisor at UKTI East Midlands
said: "Infomill is enjoying rapid success in the expansion of its
services to America.
"I had spent time with Infomill getting to understand their
international growth ambitions and helping them look beyond their
existing success in the US market. I knew instinctively how
Jonathan could benefit from the US Marketing programme to help take
Infomill forward. I am delighted that Jonathan was selected and
obviously managed to get so much out of the experience. The
immediate re-evaluation of their marketing strategy and recent new
US contract award is a real testimony to the positive impact the
Kellogg Business School programme can have on ambitious companies
like Infomill."
