Lance Chambers has joined the corporate finance and business
services team at Nottingham law firm Berryman, from the Birmingham
office of DLA Piper LLP.
A graduate from Nottingham Trent University, Lance completed his
Law Practice Course at Nottingham Law School before joining DLA
Piper as a trainee in 2007 and qualifying at the firm in August
this year.
His extensive corporate finance experience, gained during his
final seat at DLA Piper in the firm's corporate department, will
bring vital support to the Berryman team, which is experiencing
sustained levels of instructions, in spite of the current economic
climate.
Duncan James, partner and head of business services at Berryman,
says: "Lance has an excellent and rounded hands-on knowledge of a
range of corporate finance activities and transactions, through
assisting on several private equity investment and turnaround
transactions, inter-company reorganisations, and shareholder
agreements.
"In particular, Lance assisted on one disposal deal in the
medical sector valued at £34million, as well as numerous PFI
funding transactions including loan facilities for a BSF
initiative, mental health housing in Kent and schooling in
Solihull. He will prove a vital support and additional pair of
hands for the corporate team."
