Leicestershire based company Clarendon Engineering has won a
contract to supply international car giant Skoda with components
from their product range thanks to the help and support of UK Trade
& Investment (UKTI).
Highly reputed within their line of business, Clarendon
Engineering has a global customer portfolio, distributing high
quality fasteners, components and seals to the Motorsport,
Aerospace and Defence industries.
The company, which already has world famous customers like Audi
and Ferrari, is now in the driving seat with Czech Republic based
firm Skoda after they impressed the international car manufacturer
with the quality of the products and service they provide at a
meeting that was arranged by UKTI.
The meeting took place at the Professional Motorsport World
Tradeshow in Cologne, Germany where UKTI International Trade
Advisors held seminars for exhibitors to advise on how best to
market their company and indicate why and where the most likely
potential customers were located throughout the show.
Paul Sanders, Business Unit Manager at Clarendon Engineering
said: "UKTI have opened doors for us to companies that would have
taken a long time to reach ourselves".
"We are hoping to export to Japan and Australia next and will
definitely seek the help of UKTI again."
Ian Thompson, International Trade Advisor at UKTI East Midlands
said: "It is fantastic to see an East Midlands based company
trading on a global scale.
"The team at Clarendon Engineering have got real enthusiasm for
what they do.
I have really enjoyed working with the company and look forward
to doing so again in the future."
