Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham's annual Christmas Fayre has
delivered glad tidings for a good cause in the city.
A raffle at the seasonal extravaganza raised £350 for the
Queen's Medical Centre Premature Baby Unit.
Prizes were donated by each of the 25 local companies, which
attended the event and set up stalls in the showroom of the NG2
Business Park retailer - selling Christmas gifts ranging from
confectionery to crafts to more than 200 customers who went
along.
Adding to the festive atmosphere was local band Supermojo, who
performed a selection of yuletide favourites. There was plenty to
keep younger visitors entertained too, thanks to Nottinghamshire
Fire Service which displayed one of their engines and, of course,
Father Christmas who handed out chocolates.
"This was the third year that we have held a Christmas Fayre and
this was the biggest and best yet," said Carole Merry,
Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham's General Manager.
"The event has proved to be a fantastic way of getting people
into the festive spirit but also raising money for a local
charity," she added. "My colleagues and I would like to thank
everyone who came along, including such a diversity of Nottingham
business, and made it such a successful evening."
