Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland's store network got a
seasonal boost when Harvey Ingram staff stepped in to collect
hundreds of pounds' worth of goods for the charity.
Items donated by the law firm's staff and clients alike included
everything from sizeable pieces of furniture, to gifts, toys and
clothes. The effort was a timely boost to help ensure stores stay
well-stocked throughout the festive period.
Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland business development
manager John Adcock says: "I'd like to say a really big thank you
to all at Harvey Ingram who contributed so generously to the
collection. It's too early to put a precise figure on the total
value of donations, but it's clear that the money raised will run
into several hundreds of pounds.
"The firm's support really will make a very positive difference
to our efforts to provide much needed help to older people, many of
whom are among the neediest, vulnerable and lonely in our
society."
Harvey Ingram's collections were organised and overseen by trust
administrator Paula Fowle.
She says: "We're delighted to be able to contribute to the
charity in such a direct way. Age Concern's commitment to our
elderly population is superb and we're happy to help in any way we
can."
It comes within a matter of weeks of Age Concern Leicester Shire
& Rutland unveiling an exclusive agreement with Harvey Ingram,
when the award-winning firm was appointed its preferred provider
for key legal services to the charity's volunteers, staff and
customers. Under the agreement, Harvey Ingram will now make a
donation to Age Concern Leicester Shire & Rutland for every
matter it handles on behalf of the charity's staff and
supporters.
