A leading firm of Shropshire business consultants have announced
the latest of several client instructions received during the past
twelve months which are earning them a keen reputation as 'business
connectors' as well as business improvement and development
practitioners.
After facilitating and negotiating the sale of The Dental Spa on
Shrewsbury's Oxon Business Park to the Velvet Group earlier this
year, The Business Company has since been working with the practice
to re-engineer its offering and to support Velvet in making further
acquisitions. The firm is now actively involved in identifying and
targeting suitable practices.
Utilising a unique 'hub and spoke' model, The Business Company
will work with Velvet to develop its referral clinic, and The
Dental Spa, together with other acquired practices. It is
envisaged that practices both within and outside the Velvet group
will be able to refer complex cases to the referral clinic which
now operates under new Clinical Director, Dr Thomas Norlin D.D.S.,
Odont. Lic.
Ellen Morley, Principal of The Business Company, which is based
near Shrewsbury, said: "We have been working behind the scenes with
Velvet and the Dental Spa for the past year, building up the
Shrewsbury business, making it more robust and preparing it for
expansion in a unique way."
"Unlike other national dental practice models," she says,
"Velvet Group practices will each retain their own identity. There
will however be standardisation of clinical protocols, technical
excellence and customer service levels, all of which will be set
and overseen by the central hub. Each practice within the group
will take specialist referrals, with more complex cases if
necessary being referred to the Referral Clinic at the central
hub."
