Browne Jacobson has received national acclaim for the quality of
its legal trainee programme.
The latest edition of the LEX 100 Student Guide to the UK's
Premier Law Firms awarded the firm eight rosette awards.
The annual survey canvasses the opinions of trainees at over 150
law firms by asking them to rate ten key aspects of their trainee
programme including job satisfaction, client contact, friendliness
of the firm and social life.
The 20 highest scoring firms in each category nationally receive
a rosette award.
Browne Jacobson's eight rosettes were awarded in the following
categories:
• Job Satisfaction
• Expectations
• Quality of work
• Client contact
• Stress levels
• Work/life balance
• Friendliness of the firm
• Social life
According to Lex 100 Browne Jacobson 'trainees are attracted by
a combination of great work and great training which takes
place in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. With a strong commitment
to the Midlands plus a belief in giving back to the community, if
you can secure a contract here you'll receive one of the best
training packages on offer in a regional firm'.
When asked why they chose Browne Jacobson one trainee said it
was a combination of 'good clients, great atmosphere, and lots of
effort put into training'.
The Lex awards is the second time the firm has received national
acclaim in as many months.
The Chambers Student Guide 2010, published in October 2009,
praised the firm for all aspects of its training programme from
pre-recruitment through to qualification.
According to Chambers 'there's plenty on offer here, especially
if it involves litigation, insurance or the public sector. Our
interviewees may have frequently sized their workplace up against
Wragge and Eversheds, but Browne Jacobson doesn't need other firms
to define it. It is a Midlands giant in its own right.'
Each year Browne Jacobson receives more than 700 applications
for its 8 trainee places.
Zena Comrie, HR Executive at Browne Jacobson, said: "Last
year we were awarded four rosettes by Lex so to win eight this year
is a tremendous achievement. Both guides speak volumes for the
quality of our training programme and the commitment we place on
nurturing home-grown talent. Our legal training programme is an
important cornerstone of our business and these accolades will play
an important part in helping us to attract the most promising legal
minds in the country."
