NATIONAL commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton
(LSH) has smashed its ambitious target of raising £1,500 for
charity following an impressive entry in this year's Leicester
Marathon.
On 11 October 2009, four surveyors from LSH's Leicester office
took part in the Leicester Marathon - raising in excess of
£1,800 for LSH's national charity partner, Sparks.
The team ran the race in relays, finishing in just over four
hours.
The team is all now recovered from the exertions of the day and
is thrilled to see that the promise of sponsorship is still
trickling through.
Geoff Gibson, Head of LSH's Leicester office, said: "I am
delighted with the level of support we have received in our
fundraising efforts and would like to thank everyone who donated
money towards what we believe is an extremely a worthwhile cause. I
also want to extend my congratulations to the team for their hard
work and dedication in successfully completing the marathon."
Keen to point out the true extent of his team's success, Geoff
added: "We may have officially completed the race in just over four
hours but that doesn't take into account the time spent during the
change-over's. Our actual running time is more like three
hours and fifty-eight minutes!"
