A city networking event for creative companies will open its doors to businesses across all sectors during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) (Monday 16 - Sunday 22 November).

Café Creatif will take place at the Leicester Creative Business (LCB) Depot in Leicester on Thursday 19 November from 11am.

Kate Cowan, Enterprise Support Manager at LCB Depot, said: "Our monthly networking events are always informal and attended by an exciting mix of people.  As part of GEW we thought we'd open our doors to people who might not work in the creative industry, but might find it useful to make contact with some of Leicester's thriving creative businesses, in the relaxed atmosphere of our café.

"Our research shows that 70% of attendees make new creative contacts and 30% actually go on to secure more business through our events."

Representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Interpoint and Phoenix Square will be at the event.

Unleashing Enterprise, in partnership with the Institute of Directors, the East Midlands Development Agency and East Midlands Business Champions is involved with a number of GEW events across the region.

The event is one of hundreds taking place across the region as part of GEW - a worldwide entrepreneurial movement that aims to encourage people to unleash their enterprising talents and turn their ideas into reality.
