Turning Point, one of the East Midlands newest and most dynamic venture capital companies has added Leicester-based Mohdoh Limited to its investment portfolio.

Fronted by Tom Mawhood, Turning Point has invested £60,000 in the business for a 40% stake and is also looking to support its development in terms of marketing to help secure High Street and mass market outlets.

Pip Dawkins of Bray & Bray acted on behalf of Mohdoh Ltd and Tom Gray of Berryman acted on behalf of Turning Point LLP. Contracts were signed at 15 Clarendon Street, home of Turning Point co - founder and East Midlands entrepreneur Andrew Springhall.

The brainchild of single parent Simon Palfreyman, Mohdoh is a revolutionary concept in play therapy whereby a natural 'dough' is treated with a unique concoction of essential oils and colour therapy to help children through everyday illnesses and disorders such as coughs, colds, travel sickness and sleeplessness.

Springhall commented: "Mohdoh is simple and ingenious, I loved the concept and the products. As a father myself, the idea of a non-chemical safe, play-based remedy for everyday use really appealed to me. We are convinced Mohdoh is something every health conscious parent will want in their medicine cabinet."

The initial concept was inspired by Simon's mum, who put drops of lavender oil in his Playdoh to help calm her then extremely energetic son. As a personal trainer and nutritionist Simon was keen to come up with natural and therapeutic remedies for treating his own sons, Harry (12) and Jack (8) and so started to develop a range of products in conjunction with Penny Price, one of the UK's leading aromatherapists.

After some initial success the Mohdoh range has been repackaged in colourful, handy sized containers and currently features a range of remedies that through the simple activity of kneading and releasing the aroma of the special oils, are designed to combat everything from hyper-activity, sleeplessness, anxiety to coughs and colds and help aid concentration.

Initially designed specifically for children, the company's new maternity range is now ready for launch, featuring remedies to help with morning sickness and fatigue. This will be closely followed by a range for adults to help aid weight loss, smoking cessation and combat depression, stress, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, and PMT.

100% non-toxic, safe and natural, the Mohdoh range retails at £6.49 each and is available on line at www.mohdoh.co.uk
