Leicester Young Professionals marks the launch of its eighth
year, brand new committee, new website and the first in an exciting
line-up of events, with an omelette challenge.
The event is being held at the Boot Room in Millstone Lane,
Leicester, on November 18. It will see LYP members put their names
into a hat before a trio of lucky participants are drawn out and
invited to prove their cooking skills as they go head-to-head with
a timed omelette challenge.
Results will be judged by Boot Room head chef Stephen
Fitzpatrick, with the winner walking away with a truly
mouth-watering prize.
The competition also marks the first official event for new LYP
president Kate Godber, who takes the helm after Andrew Wilkinson's
two-year stint in the post came to an end. Other key positions
within the LYP's organising committee have also been rotated.
Kate says: "I'd like to say a big thank you to Andrew and all
the other members of the LYP committee. Their enthusiasm and input
has helped pave the way for a rapid jump in membership during the
past two years - and it looks set to increase even further. We've
got more events in the pipeline and are looking forward to another
busy 12 months."
