Award-winning author Preethi Nair is to speak at the Institute
of Asian Businesses (IAB) annual dinner and awards at the
International Convention Centre in Birmingham City Centre on
November 21.

of becoming a writer. '100 Shades of White', her first novel

adaptation. Giving up her job as a management consultant, she set
up her own publishing company. Her second novel 'Gypsy
Masala' was re-issued in 2006, along with her third novel 'Beyond
Indigo'.
Preethi has won the Asian Woman of Achievement award and is an
ambassador for the Princes Trust.
The event, sponsored by international chartered accountants,
Grant Thornton will have four awards: Business of the Year,
Innovation of the Year, Business Person of the Year and
Student/Young entrepreneur of the year.
IAB Chairman, Dr. Arun Bajaj said: "We are delighted to welcome
such a prestigious speaker to our annual event, which has become an
important and prestigious occasion for Birmingham's business
community."
