BHSF, the Midlands-based health insurer, is celebrating an award
after reducing private medical insurance costs for one of the UK's
leading independent insurance brokers and employee benefits
consultants.
Heath Lambert was presented with the prize at this year's Health
Insurance Awards after BHSF helped them devise an innovative new
health scheme.
Having reduced private medical insurance costs to employers, the
two firms were rewarded when Heath Lambert were presented with the
award for 'Best use of a health cash plan'.
Speaking at the Grosvenor House Hotel ceremony, Karen Gamble,
who headed the project for Heath Lambert, said: "The key was to
find partners willing to work to meet the client's aims and
objectives and who were not restricted in the service they could
offer.
"In working with BHSF and medical insurance experts Healix, we
had two of the most innovative players in healthcare on our team
and were therefore able to deliver an excellent solution".
Peter Maskell, chief executive of BHSF, said: "We are delighted.
Much hard work went into producing the solution and there is
ongoing work to ensure the excellence of customer service in its
delivery.
"To be recognised again by the industry for our innovation is
testament to the talent and dedication of the team at BHSF".
Brian Hall, BHSF's Sales and Marketing Director, said:
"The ability to combine a tightly managed discretionary trust
and the features of a health cash plan gives additional benefits
and cost savings to employers.
"While the award this year recognises an innovative approach,
Karen Gamble is already in discussions with BHSF to push the
boundaries still further and to establish the concept as a
recognised alternative to traditional private medical
insurance."
