PRIMA's flooring and access solutions have been used for many
different applications over the years but none so unusual as two
huge carpet sheep!
A call for PRIMA Palette Pearl seemed to be all in a day's work
for Leicestershire-based PRIMA, but West Wales artist Mark Folds
was not the average client. As part of an exhibition exploring the
theme of 'Low Flying Aircraft', Mark created two sheep from PRIMA
Palette by using a gridded scaled drawing, cutting the shape with a
craft knife and then securing each template to the hillside using
200 tent pegs!
Each sheep was designed to look skywards for low flying jets as
Mark's home is situated in Zone 7 of the RAF's low flying training
area. The exhibition lasted six weeks and created quite a sensation
amongst the local community!

Mark said: "My work received many reviews from the press and
public and has sparked some lively debate on the pros and cons of
low flying aircraft. I chose PRIMA's carpet to create the
sculptures as it has a high impact but is lightweight and portable
- those hills are steep!
Jeremy Simpson, PRIMA's business development manager added:
"We've always known our products are extremely versatile, and take
great pride in this quality, but carpet sheep really demonstrates
there's no limit to what can be achieved!"
