The Stratford branch of a firm of chartered surveyors and auctioneers has won a contract against competition from a Birmingham rival to manage a large development of apartments in Tiddington.

Bigwood has secured the management contract for Avonhurst, Dark Lane, Tiddington.

Avonhurst is a residential development of 25 flats just south of the Avon and about a mile from Stratford town centre.

The site is accessed from Dark Lane and enjoys extensive views to the north across the river.

The Stratford office of Bigwood was approached earlier this year with a view to being appointed managing agents for the newly formed Avonhurst RTM Company Limited following its incorporation in February.

Peter Jordan of Bigwood said: "We have a good working relationship with the directors of the company, and Bigwood was chosen to be the new managing agents due to our local offices and our recognised abilities as property managers.

"Now, together with the residents of the development, we are embarking on some major refurbishment projects involving re-roofing one of the blocks.
