In a bid to deliver further start-up support across the East
Midlands, Business Link has announced new locations and venues for
its popular Is It For You? series of events returning in
October.
Over 1,000 budding entrepreneurs have explored the option of
starting their own business at one of the Business Link Is It For
You? events in the past 12 months and the new locations will build
on this further, giving greater access to the wealth of expert
support and advice available.
The Is It For You? events are FREE to participate in and provide
the opportunity to discuss potential business ideas with a top team
of professional start-up advisers. They also feature local,
motivational speakers who have been through the start-up process
and who will share their experiences of setting up in business.
David Polkey, spokesman for the regional Business Link service
says, "We are very keen to ensure that as many people as possible
have the opportunity to attend one of the Is It For You? events,
particularly as they are proving to be so popular.
The Is It For You? events provide the opportunity to hear from
experts and people who have been through the start up process
themselves and come out the other side successfully! The events can
also be the start of building an important network or contacts who
may be able to help with the business in the future."

The regional Business Link Start-Up Service aims to stimulate an
enterprise culture. It aims to do this by raising aspirations
amongst hard to reach groups including women, students, people in
disadvantaged areas and those in employment, in addition to those
owners of fledgling businesses.
Demand for the events is likely to be high and places are
strictly limited, so call Business Link on 0845 058 6644 to secure
your place.
