Ruddle Merz, based in Oakham, is expanding its portfolio of
commercial cost-saving services with the launch of a new division,
RM Water Services.
This new business-to-business service will offer specialist
consultancy relating to both water and waste water and will help
business users not only reduce costs, but also assist with advice
on water efficiency and help with achieving environmental
compliance.
Ruddle Merz has recruited experts from the water and waste water
industry with combined experience of nearly 40 years. RM Water
Services will be based in Oakham but will provide support across
the UK and is being headed up by Phil Wright and Rob Marshall, ex
Naylor Drainage and Yorkshire Water. The team has extensive
experience working with industrial and commercial businesses
reducing overall costs and providing improved efficiencies of their
water and waste water and are working with all water utility
companies across the country.
Ruddle Merz was formed in 1996 by Tony Ruddle, the former
Chairman of Ruddles Brewery and has grown steadily, moving into a
million pound complex at Oakham Office Park earlier this year. A
leading commercial property business rates specialist, Ruddle Merz
provides occupiers, owner-occupiers and property owners with a
range of professional services with specialist know-how on both
business space issues and business rates reductions. They currently
work for 2000 clients nationwide, across a range of sectors and so
far saved them almost £100m on business rates.
RM Water Services is working with a broad range of sectors from
professional services, public sector, industrial and commercial
customers. There are growing pressures in the water industry, as
utility companies try and improve efficiencies. Changes to
legislation are also impacting on water and waste water bills, with
surface water drainage charges expected to continue to impact on
costs.
Tim Bonham, CEO at Ruddle Merz commented on the launch "At a
time when the economic environment is pretty tough we are expanding
into services that help businesses improve efficiencies, compliance
and reduce costs. All businesses pay charges for the water they use
via complex water company tariffs which are not always correct. By
reducing the amount of water that a business uses you can lower
your water, sewerage and effluent bills and reduce the impact that
a business has on the environment."
