DUE TO expansion, Couch Perry & Wilkes (CPW) is to move to
larger premises in Stoney Street, Nottingham.
As further evidence that confidence is returning back to the
Nottingham property market, NG Nattrass Giles has secured the
letting of a 2,100 sq ft office suite at 39 Stoney Street to CPW,
the mechanical and electrical building services engineering
consultancy practice..
The deal was done by Jonathon Seddon of NG Nattrass Giles, and
Robert Maxey of heb chartered surveyors who acted on behalf of the
tenant. CPW has moved from its existing offices in Stapleford to
the heart of the Lace Market due to continued expansion of the
business, said the company's director Ashley Cowdrey.
"Nottingham's city centre is home to some of the region's most
respected construction professionals," he said. "CPW has
established some strong relationships here over the last five years
which have been fundamental to our success in the East Midlands.
heb and NG have found us a fantastic environment from which
we hope to reinforce and expand these relationships; we can't wait
to move in."
Mr Seddon said: "I was delighted to secure the letting to CPW
because of its excellent reputation. 39 Stoney Street is now
becoming something of a hotspot for consultancy services connected
to the property industry, given the previous letting to the WT
Partnership."
Mr Maxey added: "Once instructed to find premises for CPW,
The Lace Market soon became a favoured location. This was primarily
due to the concentration of complimentary professional companies in
the vicinity, but the good value on offer was also important.
"This is further evidence that confidence is returning back to
the Nottingham property market and that expanding companies like
CPW are feeling more confident about making a vital move as their
business continues to thrive - despite the downturn."
CPW is a mechanical, electrical and low carbon consultancy,
offering professional advice in all sectors of the construction
industry.
The CPW Nottingham office now employs 15 engineers full time
having started out with five just over five years ago. CPW is
currently an accredited 'Investor in People' and currently
sponsoring four local apprentices on day release to college or
university.
Ashley is cautiously optimistic about the future workload,
having just won sizeable individual commissions with Sheffield
Hallam University, and framework agreements with the University of
Leicester and the University of Leeds. CPW has also secured recent
commissions in the private commercial and residential sectors,
helping to boost confidence for the future.
