Bedworth is to get a pizza-the-action with the help of some
legal ingredients from law firm Lodders.
Domino's Pizza is opening an outlet in the town at All Saints
Square.
Work on the new store has begun and it is scheduled to open in
late November.
The store is in a parade of shops owned by the King Henry VIII
Endowed Trust, Warwick.
Agents for the deal were D&P Holt Ltd of Coventry, letting
and managing agents to the trust. Stratford-based Lodders provides
legal advice.
Lodders partner Steven Baker, who advised on the deal, said:
"This is good news for Bedworth - the Domino's Pizza outlet will be
a welcome addition to the town's retail core, which like many towns
of late has suffered from an increase in the number of empty
shops."
Jonathan Wassall, Clerk to The King Henry VIII Endowed Trust,
Warwick, said: "The All Saints Square/King Street shopping parade
is an important element of our investment portfolio and we are very
pleased to welcome Domino's Pizza.
"The more we can maximise income from our holdings the more
grants we can make available."
Domino's move to Bedworth is part of the group's on-going
expansion plan to open 50 stores across the country each year, with
a target of 1,000 stores by 2017.
A Domino's Pizza spokeswoman said: "We are very much looking
forward to bringing fresh, oven-baked pizza to homes in Bedworth
and generating jobs for local people with the opening of our new
store."
