CLEANING company Office Care has won a contract to work at
Palletforce's new state-of-the-art transport hub at Burton.
And that gave the Derby company a right royal opportunity to
prove that it can work hard to make sure that premises are
sparkling clean for a princess.
For Office Care's team had to dust, disinfect and wipe clean in
advance of the visit by the Princess Royal when she recently opened
the £30m development which, at 380,000 sq ft, is the UK's
single largest palletised distribution hub.
Martin Booth, business development director of Office Care,
based at Victoria Way, Pride Park, said he was delighted that the
company had won a rolling contract to clean at Palletforce's
prestigious nerve centre, one of a number of customers in
Burton.
"The company, and in particular, our team of workers, was
delighted and honoured to make sure that everything was gleaming on
that company's big day," he said.
"This is the second time that we have had the pleasure to clean
for royalty - the first being at Pride Park Stadium for the Queen's
visit for her golden jubilee in 2002."
The contract with Palletforce adds another top name to the list
of clients that Office Care serves. These include Derby County's
Stadium at Pride Park and its Moor Farm training ground, other
businesses on Pride Park and elsewhere.
