A rugby player from the Black Country is kicking off a new
career as a commercial litigation lawyer with MFG Solicitors.
Twenty-five-year-old Samuel Pedley plays open-side flanker for
Dudley Kingswinford in Midlands One division and is also a
qualified football referee.
He has just completed his two -year training contract at MFG
Solicitors and will work as an assistant solicitor in the firm's
Halesowen office.
Mr Pedley attended Tettenhall College, Wolverhampton, and while
at school played rugby for South Staffordshire.
He obtained a degree at Nottingham Law School and then completed
the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Birmingham,
joining MFG Solicitors in 2007.
He said: "I am really excited to get this opportunity to work as
a full-time member of the commercial litigation team at MFG
Solicitors and have had an excellent grounding over the past two
years - having worked in the Agricultural and Property departments,
Taxation in the Private Client Department and finally in Commercial
Litigation at Halesowen.
"I particularly enjoy advocacy and working in court and I hope
my career at MFG Solicitors will take me in this direction."

targets on the rugby and football fields are as high as they are in
the law.
"He has also shown a strong inclination to put something back
into the community through his work in Young Enterprise last year
at King Charles I School, Kidderminster, where he mentored students
in the world of business."
