Supply Chain Award.
Aztec Centreline of Brierley Hill received the award for their
work on the £4 million refurbishment of hospitality suites at
Aston Villa Football Club's ground which was completed in record
time.
Mansell's Stourbridge-based Western region completed the project
in just 10 weeks, working seven days a week, often with more than
150 tradespeople on site.
Aztec Centreline received the award for their support for
Mansell's demanding work schedule and also their attention to
health and safety issues. The major project included the complete
refurbishment of the Holte End suite and the Park Suite as well as
the Sky Box. The scheme involved stripping out existing function
rooms and boxes and completely refitting them.
The award was presented to Aztec Centreline director Paul Brook
by Aston Villa's legendary former half-back Charlie Aitken.
Mansell's construction manager Dean Howard said, "The project
was on a very tight timescale with deadlines that couldn't be
missed if the work was to avoid disruption to the season's home
fixture schedule. In such circumstances we depend heavily on the
support of our supply chain and Aztec certainly rose to that
challenge."
