Weightmans law firm has expanded its fraud offering with the
appointment of Andrew Gillett from rival Beachcroft LLP.
Andrew follows his former colleague at Beachcroft LLP Howard
Dean, who joined Weightmans in April this year. Andrew joins the
firm as a partner and will be responsible for leading a team
dedicated to designing new solutions to combat fraud, particularly
in the areas of employers' liability, public liability and
disease.
Dan Cutts, head of insurance at Weightmans said: "Andrew is
a very welcome addition to our team here. His experience in dealing
with fraud spans the whole claims process and his appointment will
help with the continuing development our fraud offering in the
casualty arena.
"This move will drive Weightmans forward as a centre of
excellence for the prevention, detection and subsequent handling of
claims where fraud is a concern. Working within the Midlands, the
team will also play a big role in supporting our regional bespoke
teams to provide expertise on a local level to serve local clients
and their needs."
